It’s been nearly half a decade since “Party After Party” took over clubs, memes, airwaves and honestly, our lives. But if you thought the hype had cooled off, think again.
Rapper Big Tril is setting the record straight: “Party After Party” is the biggest song to ever come out of the Baboon Forest Entertainment camp. Period.
Speaking in a recent interview, the rapper didn’t mince words:
“I have the biggest hit in Baboon Forest which travelled across,” he said confidently, referring to the 2019 anthem that broke through borders and dominated parties from Kampala to Lagos to Atlanta.
And let’s be honest he might have a point. The song was more than a banger; it became a global party mood, used in memes, DJ sets, and countdowns across continents. Whether at end-of-year events or in post-lockdown playlists, “Party After Party” became a cultural reset.

But Big Tril, real name Rowland Raymond Kaiza, was quick to spread the flowers too.
“GNL Zamba is the most influential member of the group,” he noted, saluting the Baboon Forest CEO for laying the lyrical and leadership foundation of one of Uganda’s most iconic hip-hop collectives.
He also showed respect to Mun G, another Baboon Forest alumnus, applauding his consistent chart presence on home turf.
“Mun G has had the most couple of hits in the Ugandan market among us all,” he added.
So, what does it all mean? For Big Tril, it’s less about competition and more about recognition. Every artist in the camp brought something unique but if we’re talking global reach, “Party After Party” still reigns supreme.
One thing’s for sure, whether you’re on the dance floor, in your car, or scrolling through throwback reels the chant still hits the same, Party… After Party.
