Ugandan singer Dax Vibez has announced the cancellation of his much-anticipated concert, originally scheduled for August 29, 2025, at Hotel Africana and he’s not happy about it.

Taking to his social media pages, Dax shared the disappointing news with fans, expressing frustration and disbelief over the hotel’s decision to cancel the show after nine months of planning and promotion.

“I’ve been running adverts, investing my time and money into this concert, only for the venue to back out at the last minute,” he posted.

Though the singer, who is the younger brother of opposition leader Bobi Wine, stopped short of explaining the exact reason behind the cancellation, speculation points toward possible security concerns an issue that has increasingly affected concerts linked to politically sensitive figures.

Notably, this isn’t the first time Hotel Africana has pulled the plug on a major event. Back in February 2025, Alien Skin’s concert was also abruptly cancelled under what many believed were similar circumstances.

Fans of Dax Vibez have flooded his pages with messages of support and disappointment, with many calling for transparency and fairness in how event spaces handle high-profile concerts.

As of now, no new venue or date has been announced, but Dax hinted that he’s exploring alternatives and won’t be silenced.

“This is just a delay, not a defeat,” he wrote.
