When you think of Azawi, you think hitmaker, star power… and now? A million-dollar smile or should we say, a 24-million-shilling smile.
The Slow Dancing singer recently opened up about her dental transformation, revealing that she invested over Shs 24 million to perfect her pearly whites and it’s giving confidence, glow-up, and “main character energy.”

“When I entered the music industry, I did not look good. Some people used to call me Mr. Azawi,” she shared with brutal honesty.
One of her biggest insecurities was a diastema the small gap between her front teeth which became even wider after she suffered a fall. But instead of hiding behind filters or silence, Azawi decided to own her image and fix her smile on her own terms.
So she booked herself in with a trusted dentist and began a journey that involved more than just a quick fix. 12 dental veneers (six on the top, six on the bottom), each costing about Shs 1 million, were carefully placed to give her that flawless finish. And that’s not all the transformation also included multiple root canal treatments, each around Shs 800,000.

And guess what? She paid for it all herself no brand collab, no sponsorship. Just a woman investing in her confidence.
“It was costly, yes. But the results were worth it,” Azawi said, flashing a grin that could sell out stadiums.
In an industry where image and first impressions count for a lot, Azawi’s decision to level up her smile isn’t just about vanity it’s a bold move of self-care and ownership. Whether she’s on stage, in interviews, or on our timelines, one thing’s clear: Azawi is smiling brighter and prouder than ever.
