If you weren’t at Hotel Africana on Friday night, you missed a nostalgic, stylish, and slightly chaotic celebration because the Kampala Boys, aka B2C, threw a concert for the books.
Ten years in the game is no small feat, and the trio Bobby Lash, Delivad Julio, and Mr. Lee took us on a ride through their journey with music, moves, and some major fashion moments. The night kicked off with a short documentary about their rise, then boom at 9:10pm, the boys hit the stage to Tokigeza, rocking white tops, ripped jeans, and bandanas like it was 2015 again. Instant goosebumps.
Was the start of the show a little messy? Yes. With no curtain raisers and only emcees trying to keep things alive, the buildup felt longer than a taxi ride in jam. But once B2C took over, they made it worth the wait.

From Ndabula to Gutamiza, Mundawo to Gutujja, the crowd was locked in. Their synergy? Chef’s kiss. And the fashion? Whew, At one point, the boys stepped out in bold red suits that screamed, “Yes, we’ve grown and we look good doing it.” Whether serving street swag or sleek concert couture, they served looks.
Guest stars like Rema, Carol Nantongo, and Aroma lit up the stage, though some fans side-eyed the no-shows from Eddy Kenzo and David Lutalo with whom they have collabos with, (They were in the country, by the way.)
While VIP and VVIP were packed, the ordinary section was a little underwhelming. And some fans noticed the trio’s limited catalogue, which led them to sprinkle in a few cover songs from Bobi Wine’s Bad Man from Kamwokya to Radio & Weasel’s Magnet and King Saha’s Nakyakala.

Still, the energy was undeniable. “The red suits? Iconic,” gushed Melissa from Ntinda. “Just wish it started earlier.” Brian from Mukono added, “They delivered, but next time, give us some curtain raisers, please!”
Even with a few flaws, B2C reminded us why many fans fell in love with them in the first place, real brotherhood, catchy jams, and a decade of staying power. Here’s to ten more.
