If Sundays were a mood, the last Sunday of the month would be pure class and creativity thanks to The Singleton’s Big Meeting, which has steadily become Kampala’s go-to social escape.
This past weekend, the iconic monthly experience returned to Thrones Bar, flipping the script with a refreshing twist a Paint and Sip session that perfectly synced with the night’s RnB-themed vibes.
In a cozy corner of the bar, art came alive. Guests swapped their phones for paintbrushes and sipped on smooth cocktails as they followed the artistic lead of visual artist Warren Daktal, who transformed blank canvases into masterpieces-in-the-making with his calm, charismatic energy.
There was no judgment, just joy. Some participants were fully focused on their strokes, others laughed at their abstract “masterpieces” while sipping like pros. The vibe? Pure freedom, light-hearted fun, and creativity unleashed.
As always, Lynda Ddane The Queen of Happiness lit up the venue in her Cinderella-style gown, spreading laughter, dancing between easels, and cheering on the artists like a true muse of the night.
But it wasn’t just for show Tasha, one of the guests, painted her way into the spotlight, winning the evening’s painting challenge and taking home a premium bottle of Singleton. Not bad for a night out with a brush and cocktail in hand!
According to Christine Kyokunda, Brand Manager, Singleton UBL, it’s about more than just whisky.
“Singleton is about celebrating life’s finer, richer moments. These kinds of experiences like Paint and Sip are about connection, creativity, and making memories. We’re thrilled to be a part of something that brings people together in such a unique way.”
As the night deepened, the music took over. DJ Jerry, Kasbaby, DJ Sesse, Sir Aludah, Dash, Em That Guy, and Esau tag-teamed the decks, curating a seamless mix of slow jams and danceable RnB grooves that kept the paint-streaked crowd moving till late.
