Fik Fameica just dropped a truth bomb and it’s not in a verse.
In a recent online interview, the Pistol rapper revealed that despite having major collabs with some of the biggest names on the continent, he’s not really cashing in from them. Yup, the bangers might be charting, but when it comes to money in the account? It’s giving low-key broke.
“Honestly, I rate my solo projects more. With collabos, most times I don’t earn that much,” he said.

According to Fik Fameica born Walukagga Shafic the issue isn’t the music. The songs slap. The problem is ownership. Most artists he collaborates with own the rights to the tracks, which means they pocket the royalties while he walks away with the hype, not the bag.
“We always agree before we even hit the studio. If it’s their song, they handle most of the costs. But at the end of the day, that means they also take the earnings,” he added.
Despite being one of Uganda’s most streamed and stylish rappers, Fik says being the feature guy doesn’t pay like people think. That’s why he’s all about pushing his own stuff where he writes, owns, and earns.
And let’s be honest from My Property to Majje, the man eats when he rides solo.
Moral of the story? For Fik, solo hustle, shared spotlight, and if he’s not walking away with the rights, he’s walking away real smart.
