In a heartwarming display of compassion and community, Ugandan music legend Bebe Cool has delivered on his promise to build a new home for Bridgette Mirembe Namiyigo, a spirited five-year-old TikToker from Mubende whose gospel skits captured the nation’s attention.

On a sunny day in Kyeguluuso village, Mubende District, cheers filled the air as Bridgette and her family received the keys to their brand-new, fully furnished home, gifted to them by the musician and his charity organization, Amber Heart Foundation.

This life-changing moment stems from Bebe Cool’s public commitment in October 2024, when he announced that the proceeds from his annual Tondeka E Kiwatule Boxing Day concert would go toward building a better life for Bridgette and her family.

True to his word, the concert was rebranded “Tondeka E Kiwatule Tuzimbire Bridgette Enyumba” a rallying cry that turned music into a mission.

“Giving back has always been part of who I am,” Bebe Cool said. “When I saw Bridgette preaching and spreading love on TikTok, I knew I had to do something to support her spirit.”

Bridgette, her mother, and her younger sister Ruth had previously lived in a rundown semi-detached house, which Bridgette often humorously referred to as “Geyeena” (hell) in her videos. Now, they have a new beginning.

Their new three-bedroom home, set on a spacious 100×100 ft plot, comes fully stocked—with a master bed, children’s beds, 10 mattresses, sofas, a center table, and bedding.

The house was completed with the help of generous partners including Century Property Real Estates Uganda, Erianah Hardware Mubende, and DT Solar, and officially broke ground in January 2025.

At the handover ceremony, attended by local leaders, residents, and church representatives, Bebe Cool thanked everyone who supported the cause.

“This home is a result of teamwork. From my fans who showed up at the concert to our partners who offered resources thank you,” he said. “Every small act of kindness adds up to something powerful.”

Pastor Everest Arinaitwe, representing Bridgette’s family, also delivered an emotional speech:

“Bebe Cool has not just built a house he has restored dignity. He has given this family hope and reminded our village that kindness still exists.”

Beyond the stage, Bebe Cool continues to cement his legacy as one of Uganda’s most impactful artists not just musically, but socially. From his advocacy roles in HIV/AIDS awareness to TB campaigns and his past involvement in Nelson Mandela’s 46664 Initiative, the singer consistently uses his platform for good.

With his upcoming album “Break The Chains” set for release on May 30th, this moment is a timely reminder that Bebe Cool isn’t just an artist he’s a changemaker.
