From the radio mic to the political mic? Marcus Kwikiriza, the voice that once made your mornings better, is now thinking of making your roads smoother, your schools better, and your hometown prouder.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the FUBA CEO casually dropped a political bombshell, “I am seriously toying with the idea of putting my hat in the race for the 12th Parliament. Rukungiri.” Just like that. No drumroll, no manifesto just vibes and ambition.
But Marcus isn’t just chasing a title. He’s got feelings about Rukungiri, his home turf. And not the warm, fuzzy kind. He’s bothered by its underdevelopment and isn’t shy about it. “No known school or university, no decent hotel, medical services are okay-ish… we don’t even have a signature crop!” he tweeted earlier.
It’s giving “if no one will fix it, I will.”
While he hasn’t officially launched a campaign, the buzz is already growing. After all, who wouldn’t want a leader with charisma, media savvy, and a track record of leading sports at a national level?
So, will the man who once ruled the airwaves now rule the floor of Parliament? Time and the 2026 ballot will tell.
